Cerco ogni volta di indicarle chiaramente i limiti, cercando di non urlare anche io. Cercando di dar fondo a tutta la pazienza di cui dispongo. Ma il risultato è un aumento ancora più drammatico delle urla, con addirittura collassi collerici. Il bello poi, è che agli occhi degli altri finisco ad essere anche io l’untore. Quello che la fa stare male, che non sa prenderla, che le provoca questi malesseri. E’ una prigione ben congegnata. Dovunque mi muovo c’è dolore. Sono impotente davanti a questa furia. Sprigiona odio da tutti i pori, e quando non si lascia andare all’odio, fa comunque qualcosa per rabbuiare la più bella giornata di sole. Un inferno dantesco. Non le farò mai il seppur minimo male. Ma io non so per quanto ancora riuscirò a farcela. Sono stremato ed annientato. Non riesco nemmeno più a concentrarmi sul lavoro, sono in confusione totale. Mi dimentico tutto. Certe volte ho paura del degrado raggiunto dal mio cervello. A forza di stare attento a qualsiasi dettaglio, parola o atteggiamento, e l’incredibile impegno nel recitare la parte del marito “normale e comprensivo”, il mio stato psico-fisico si sta irrimediabilmente compromettendo. E la cosa più incredibile è che devo essere io a giustificarmi. Io, e la mia famiglia di origine ormai da anni spazzata via. Noi, l’esercito dei malvagi che sta deturpando un così dolce e delicato fiore. Peccato che di questo passo, il delicato fiore a cui ho dedicato tutta la mia esistenza, mi perderà. Probabilmente finirò sottoterra uno di questi giorni. Oggi già ci sono psicologicamente. Chissà, di questo passo il mio corpo cederà. Lo sento. E’ un malessere che ormai si è insinuato in ogni mia singola cellula. E mi trascino, giorno per giorno. Aspettando la prossima escalation di collera. Stando lì ad assorbire i colpi senza poter fare praticamente nulla.

I am a therapist, INFP, though possibly ENFP (hard to determine as my Ne and Fi functions are both extremely strong and I use them often and INFP being Fi Ne and ENFP being NeFi, it can be hard to tell at times). I was telling my clinical supervisor just today about my ADD and how I think it may actually be something that is natural to some MBTI types, especially those with very strong Ne (Extraverted Intuition). Then I found your article. I think you nail it! Oh and I have this thing where I am always trying to ‘streamline’, clear out my wardrobe, narrow down (it’s hard lol!) and can even be a bit OCD – ish re clutter, tidiness…I realise it is me trying to create some structure and simplicity amidst all the ADD-ness. Oh and I said to my supervisor I have been working with the ADD rather than trying to change it or work against it. After all, at times it can offer moments of ‘creative genius’
